Policy Privacy
Your files are yours.
Quillote does not want your data. There is no account, no analytics, no telemetry and no sync service. This page is short because the policy is short.

What the app collects
Nothing. Quillote has no account system, no analytics SDK, no crash reporter and no advertising. The app reads and writes the files you open and keeps its own preferences and crash snapshots on your device. It does not send them anywhere.
Network requests
The app makes a network request only when you choose to open a link in your browser. There is no update check in the public beta. A future update mechanism will be opt-in or clearly disclosed before it ships.
This website
This site is static HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It sets no cookies, loads no analytics, and makes no requests to third-party domains. Fonts are served from this domain. The only external links are to Eulogik and GitHub, and they open only when you click them.
If you email hello@quillote.com, we receive your address and whatever you write. We use it to answer you and nothing else. Ask us to delete the thread and we will.
Files on your phone
The phone app copies a file you pick into its own sandbox so it can edit it. The original stays where it was. The copy leaves the app only when you use the share sheet. Uninstalling the app removes its sandbox, including any copies you have not exported.
Children
Quillote is a general-purpose writing tool. It is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. A change that adds collection would be announced before it takes effect, not buried in a checkbox.
